Terms
and
Conditions

The service terms that govern use of our website, consultations, education counselling, application support, and related student services.

Reference Protocol
01.

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply when you access the SMT Global website, submit an enquiry, book a consultation, use our student tools, communicate with our team, or purchase or receive education consultancy services from us.

By using our website or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. If you are acting for a student, applicant, minor, family member, sponsor, or organization, you confirm that you have authority to share information and make service decisions on their behalf.

02.

Nature of Our Services

SMT Global provides education counselling, destination guidance, course and institution shortlisting, application support, document review, scholarship guidance, student visa documentation support, pre-departure guidance, and related consultancy services.

Our advice is based on information available at the time, the details you provide, published institution or government requirements, and professional judgement. Requirements, deadlines, fees, immigration rules, scholarship criteria, and institutional policies may change without notice.

  • We are not a university, embassy, immigration authority, government body, lender, insurer, or accommodation provider.

  • We do not guarantee admission, scholarship approval, visa approval, employment, migration outcomes, refunds from third parties, or any specific institutional decision.

  • Final decisions always remain with universities, colleges, scholarship bodies, visa offices, government authorities, and other independent third parties.

03.

Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, current, authentic, and verifiable information and documents. This includes academic records, test scores, identity documents, financial documents, work history, personal statements, references, and any information relevant to your applications.

  • You must review all forms, applications, statements, documents, and submissions before approval or filing.

  • You must meet deadlines, attend required interviews or appointments, pay third-party fees on time, and promptly notify us of any change in your circumstances.

  • You must not provide false, misleading, forged, altered, plagiarized, or incomplete documents or information.

  • You are responsible for decisions you make after receiving counselling, including institution selection, destination selection, course selection, financial commitments, and submission approvals.

04.

Fees, Payments, and Third-Party Costs

Service fees, inclusions, exclusions, timelines, payment milestones, refund rules, and cancellation terms may be stated in a proposal, invoice, receipt, service confirmation, or written communication from SMT Global.

Unless expressly stated in writing, our fees do not include third-party charges such as university application fees, tuition deposits, courier charges, exam fees, medical checks, biometric fees, visa fees, translation, notarization, insurance, travel, accommodation, bank charges, or government charges.

  • Payments must be made by the due date and through approved payment methods.

  • Third-party fees are governed by the relevant third party and may be non-refundable.

  • A delay in payment, documents, approvals, or third-party processing may delay or limit our ability to continue service.

05.

Applications, Documents, and Deadlines

We may help prepare, organize, review, or submit application materials based on the service agreed with you. You remain responsible for the truthfulness, completeness, and final approval of every submission made in your name.

Deadlines depend on institutions, intake dates, embassies, government offices, testing bodies, and other external parties. We will use reasonable efforts to support timelines, but we are not responsible for missed deadlines caused by late information, missing documents, delayed payments, system outages, third-party delays, or changes outside our control.

06.

Communication and Electronic Records

You agree that we may communicate with you by phone, email, SMS, messaging apps, online forms, video calls, portals, or other channels you provide or approve. You are responsible for keeping your contact details up to date and checking messages regularly.

Electronic approvals, uploaded documents, email confirmations, message confirmations, call notes, CRM records, and system logs may be used to document service instructions, approvals, and communications.

07.

Privacy and Data Use

Your use of our services involves the collection and handling of personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information.

By using our services, you authorize us to process and share relevant information with institutions, application platforms, service providers, professional advisers, and other parties needed to deliver the services you request, subject to our Privacy Policy.

08.

Intellectual Property and Website Use

SMT Global Materials

Our website, brand assets, counselling materials, checklists, templates, reports, workflows, text, graphics, designs, and digital tools belong to SMT Global or our licensors unless stated otherwise.

Permitted Use

You may use materials provided to you for your own personal study-abroad planning and application process. You may not copy, sell, publish, scrape, misuse, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit our materials without written permission.

09.

Acceptable Conduct

You agree not to misuse our website, forms, systems, staff time, documents, or communication channels. We may suspend or refuse service if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, harassment, unlawful activity, non-payment, document falsification, or conduct that may harm applicants, institutions, partners, staff, or our systems.

  • Do not attempt unauthorized access, scanning, scraping, disruption, reverse engineering, or security testing of our systems.

  • Do not upload malicious files, unlawful content, unsafe links, or content that infringes rights of others.

  • Do not impersonate another person or submit information without proper authorization.

10.

Cancellations, Suspension, and Termination

Either party may stop an engagement according to the service confirmation, written agreement, invoice terms, or applicable law. We may suspend or terminate services where required information is not provided, fees remain unpaid, deadlines cannot reasonably be met, conduct standards are breached, or continuing the service would create legal, ethical, security, or professional risk.

Termination does not remove obligations that should reasonably continue, including payment obligations, confidentiality, intellectual property restrictions, privacy obligations, dispute provisions, and limitations of liability.

11.

Limitation of Liability

"To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMT Global is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-opportunity damages, including loss caused by admission refusal, scholarship refusal, visa refusal, deadline changes, third-party delays, policy changes, system outages, or decisions made by independent institutions or authorities."
12.

Indemnity, Disputes, and Updates

You agree to indemnify and hold SMT Global, its directors, employees, consultants, and partners harmless from claims, losses, penalties, costs, or expenses arising from false information, unauthorized submissions, breach of these terms, misuse of our services, or violation of law or third-party rights.

If a concern arises, you agree to first contact us in writing so we can attempt to resolve it professionally. These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will apply from the date it is posted or otherwise notified, except where a separate written agreement states otherwise.
